About Me
My name is Florian-Jack and I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and coach/mentor practising in Bermondsey, London SE16. My pronouns are They/Them and I identify as non-binary.
I have worked as a counsellor for the NHS in a GP surgery and I now run a private practice from my home in Bermondsey. I currently work as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor at University of the Arts London. (UAL)
I have volunteered at East London Out Project (ELOP), a specialist LGBTQ charity offering counselling and group support in Walthamstow, East London.
I have a B.A. Hons degree in Person-Centred Counselling from Metanoia Institute, Ealing, London.
I hold a Certificate in Counselling Skills – Person-Centred Approach (ABC Awards) from City Lit Institute, Holborn, London.
I hold a certificate in DSA MHM QAG from the Royal Holloway University of London and I am a member of the University Mental Health Advisers Network (UMHAN)
I work with individuals who are straight, gay, queer, bi, asexual, questioning and all genders including cis, trans, intersex, non-binary, genderqueer and gender questioning people. There are no issues I cannot support you with as my client. I have experience of a wide variety of different problems such as; anxiety, low mood, end of life, chronic illness, disability, parenting, break up, trauma, sexual abuse, addictions, low self esteem and relationship issues. The people I have helped have had feelings that range from mild upset or worry, through intense levels of distress and despair.
I have a particular interest and experience in supporting creatives such as: artists, writers, poets, musicians, singers, actors and architects and the potential issues that the creative block or the feelings of not being good enough can bring.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)and I am bound by their Ethical Framework.
